What to do -- I'm sick but need my prescription?

I've just started taking wellbutrin SR to help me quit smoking, and its my second day.Day 1 I felt hazy, forgetful and i had a small burst of anger at the end of the day and to top it all off i was EXTREMELY tired.Today when I took it, I was like.. unnaturally happy and just excited. and then a few hours after that, i got very very tired and now i'm feeling a little depressed. Is it because I dont feel the need to smoke as much? Like I know it blocks whatever in your brain craves nicotine, but does your body still have withdrawal symptoms? what could it be? did anyone else experience anything similar on Wellbutrin?thanks everyone :)

Wellbutrin side effects?

I have a mood disorder / I'm bi polar but they won't diagnose it that way because I'm young, only 18. Well I've been on 20mg of Paxil for about 2 years now and I want off. I don't want to take these pills anymore. Before that I was on lexapro, some other anti-depressant, and Wellbutrin all at different times of course. Anyways, I've been dealing with my mood disorder since I was 14. I went into a mental hospital at 15 for 2 weeks to be evaluated and that's when they started Wellbutrin and that didn't work so I switched to the other but I forgot the name and then I did Lexparo but it stopped working for me. Now I'm on Paxil and I'm so sick of the side effects or when I don't eat enough with it I get dizzy, have mood swings, and my head hurts. I've read online that the withdrawals from Paxil are horrible so I'm a little scared. Plus I don't have insurance anymore so I can't go to the doctor either. I just want to be done with these medicines I want to be normal. How can I handle my mood disorder without medicine? Please help me if you have had an experience with this. Also, when I miss Paxil for like one-two days I have back to back mood swings. I can have up to 5-6 moods in 10 minutes. It's very intense and after wards I'm so exhausted from the mood swings I have to take a nap. I really don't want to be on Paxil but I don't know any other ways to control my mood swings. I'm also married now and I don't want to run my husband off with my mood swings although he's been with me through this since I was 15. Any advice would help please.I also have social anxiety and panic attacks if that needs to be known.Square- I looked up what you said about borderline personality disorder and I think you're right. I have every single symptom. Thank you so much when I get insurance in November I'm going to get re evaluated. You're definitely best answer!

I need help with my mood disorder please!?

I know that all drugs work differently on different people, but I'm just posing very general questions.Which SSRI tends to be the most effective for the most people? And which tends to have the lowest amount of side effects?I took Paxil years ago for anxiety, and it was wonderful - worked great, and zero side effects except for the dreaded sexual side effcts. Withdrawal was bad but manageable by weaning myself slowly. More recently, I took it again, and it put me to sleep. I was yawning all day. Same with Lexapro. My problems have increased now to incude depression as well. I tried Wellbutrin for a couple of days, and the first two days and the first night were fine, just a little dizziness, but the second night it made my anxiety way worse, and I couldn't sleep because I was having panic attacks and my heart was racing. I couldn't sit still.I am thinking I need to go back to an SSRI, and potentially add the Wellbutrin back in once my anxiety is under control.Prozac is the only one of the group I've truly never touched. Technically not Celexa either, but that's basically just another form of Lexapro. I was on Zoloft for a very short period of time a long time ago with no issue.Any general thoughts on the differences between these meds?I know these meds need a certain amount of time before giving up, but the wellbutrin made me have terrible panic attacks, heart racing, etc, and there was no way I could go in to work Monday like that.I know Lexapro is not exactly the same as Celexa, but it's pretty darn close. They just pulled one of the isomers out of Celexa to make Lexapro, hoping that it would result in less side effects. (Or at least give them a new patent...)

Comparing the SSRI's - Lexapro, Paxil, Prozac, Zoloft, Celexa, etc.?

for sad eyes only LOL: anti-depressants *POLL*?

I've been on 300mg of Wellbutrin for the past 2 weeks and it hasn't helped worth crap, so my meds are being changed. I'm going back down to 150mg Wellbutrin and adding 60mg Cymbalta, i'm taking it in the morning. What side effects or withdrawal symptoms might come up? Any info will help

What should I expect when changing medication for depression? Wellbutrin to Cymbalta?

I've taken 25mg of Strattera and three 100mg doses of Wellbutrin a day for approximately 6 months for adult ADD (female-43y.o.) and I have decided that I want to stop taking them. With the guidance of a psychiatrist, I have reduced the doses of each gradually. After 10 days I am now not taking the Strattera at all and am down to two Wellbutrin a day. My hands, face and legs have started to twitch. It is unnoticeable to others but it is slowly becoming worse. At the moment it is tolerable but I would like to hear if anyone else has experienced similar withdrawal effects and how long it lasted for them. I have another appointment with the psychiatrist in about 10 days. However, I believe that hearing about other people having a similar experience would help me endure this more easily. All of the other withdrawal side effects that I have experienced so far were expected but this one concerns me more because I haven't found satisfactory information about it that isn't related to a person's or web site's desire to advertise their book or product.I am concerned that it is an indicator of a neurological condition that isn't related to the drug withdrawal but I don't want to run to the Neurologist unnecessarily. I will call the psychiatrist but despite how awesome he is as a doctor, someone's personal experience would be very reassuring right now.

Are small twitches a side effect of withdrawal from Strattera or Wellbutrin being taken for ADD?

I have been weaning off Prozac (40 mg/day) for a couple of months. I've been on 10 mg/day for about 2 weeks. I started taking Wellbutrin at the same time and now I'm on 300 mg/day. Until the past couple of days, I was fine; just some minor side effects. But now I'm having side effects of either coming off the Prozac or going on the Wellbutrin...the worst ones are headaches, dizziness, itchy skin, and twitching. I can handle pretty much all of them except the headache. It doesn't seem to be a common side effect in what I've read. Any ideas how long this might last??

How long will Prozac withdrawal last?

Ok so i was diagnosed with bipolar 3 yrs ago,but is until now that i realize i have a serious illness and after 3 visits to rehab.I find it hard to find the right pills and now im taking Adderall xr,lithium, wellbutrin xr and norsvac for blood pressure. But my lithium isnt working anymore and i need to change it,wha are the withdrawals of lithium and whast another good stabilizer the only side effects im worried about is weight, acne and etc lolAnd lately ive been reading "sometimes i act crazy" a book about bpd and i really identify myself with like everything and its making me feel bad that all this time my doc told me i had bipolar and what if i really dont! ;( im 18 and ive been trhou a lot and i dont care but i just wanna have it controled, what are the diff between those two??? and what should i do,go to another doctor and get a diagnosis or what? please help me i tried talking to my mom but she think im just spoiled and crazy literally. :( thank youI take Adderall for adhd which is very good,i dont feel bad on it,like right now i dont have any bad side effects with the ones im taking, only tremor but sometimes not always, and yes i do hurt myself i used to cut and now whenever im angry at someone or myself i hit myself and punch my face and all that type of stuff, :( i think i like to do it because when im done i feel like i deserved it.

2 questions! i need help bad, whats the best mood stabalizer and whats the diff between bipolar and bpd?

I've been on WB for just over 2 months and had some side effects I can no longer live with. Among them is insomnia. I was taking 150 XL. the sleeping improved a LITTLE bit, in that I could sleep at times with the aid of only one Benadryl. But my sleep has just not been the same, and I can't rely on sleep meds. I recently lowered my prescription to 75mg, and in the normal release form (they don't make XL less than 150). I take one just in the AM. I'm hoping that maybe this lesser dosage and the shorter half life will reduce the night time side effects. Two days now, and I'm having withdrawal side effects, including flu like symptoms, depression, and TOTAL fog. I just don't feel altogether there. Also, last two nights have been absolutely miserable. Two benadryls last night did nothing but make me loopy and freaked out, since I was drugged, but not sleeping. Up all night. I'm hoping this will improve VERY soon. Anyone experience this? How long does it take for the withdrawal effects to go away? I'm assuming they're withrawal symptoms, since I've reduced my dose in half. I would really appreciate some feedback!I did consult my Dr., by the way, though it was kind of a formality. He's not a specialist, and basically just said he doesn't see a problem with my getting off of it. Also, I was never too depressed as much as very very moody. Also took it for ADD. It does help me stabilize my moods, but I can't live with the insomnia. It's also lowered my sex drive.

Wellbutrin withdrawal side effects?

Please, read this. I know it is long. Please, if you have been on medications for severe anxiety, panic, ocd, or agorophobia, please hear my story and answer my questions. I thank you for your time for a complete stranger.I am on prozac for ocd, panic disorder, and anxiety, but also agorophobia. I started on zoloft 5 years ago, it worked, but then I became tolerant and switched to lexapro. I felt withdrawal effects from lexapro (brain zaps) every night, it just didn't stay in my body long enough. I switched to prozac. After a while I told my doctor that I felt that the anxiety was gone, but that depression was worse. He added Wellbutrin to prozac, and I was okay. I was able to function and do fine, even though I was still having 24/7 derealization. like I am asleep and not alive. My father died exactly a year ago. I stopped taking the meds because I was full of grief.. my anxiety came back. I thought that the meds had stopped working (which they didn't, of course, I was full of grief of losing my dad!) I was still able to go to places and into buildings and eat. (I have emetophobia, and am very ocd about my stomach and foods.) Very slowly I started not being able to go to bigger places, like malls, walmart, grocery stores, etc. Then I wasn't able to go into smaller places that I really enjoyed, like kohls, saddle shops, the gym, etc. I started even having problems sitting in my car in a huge parking lot of walmart while my husband ran in to get the stuff. I stopped being able to eat in restaurants and other places... I started only being able to eat at home... which was okay, because I could still eat what I wanted and feel fine... I was just getting panicky in places. I was still able to go to gas stations and 7-11 and places like that. Then, 2 months ago, I had a major anxiety attack. I think the last of the prozac left my body at that point. I thought I was going to puke, and for a week I could not eat anything. 2 months later I am still struggling with food. I can only eat 5 things.... saltines, bananas, chix noodle soup, peanut butter toast, and cheerios. I am hungry, but after I eat I feel anxious and sick.I have been on prozac for over a month now. I am also taking lorazepam regularly, but it only calms my body, not my mind and emotions. 1st week I was on 10mg. 2nd and 3rd I was on 20mg. 4th i was on 30mg. and now in week 5 im on 40mg, and the week is almost over. I can at least eat now, but I am still home-bound. I can't go anywhere. I am panicking in my head even on lorazepam, and I still can't eat without feeling sick and worrying that I am going to puke. The prozac worked before. In fact, ssri's worked before, but the first time I took them, when I was 13, I started really feeling better right away, 3 days after starting, and I was able to go back to school in 2 weeks. Why is it taking so long this time around? I sit at home, I shake all day, I'm hungry but scared, I feel dizzy and like I'm asleep, and I fear that this time I am stuck like this. Is there a reason this prozac is taking so long to work? I was feeling better, but for the past 3 days I have felt like I can't take it anymore. I was thinking about suicide... but I realized, I don't want to die! I want to feel good! But I don't know how much longer I can live like this. I break down and cry almost every day. My husband is doing all he can, and he's working very hard since I cannot work. Right now, I can drive to my mom's house (15 minutes away) and I alternate being there and at my old home. I can't exercise for I feel so weak (not enough food) and I feel so dizzy and lightheaded all the time (my anxiety makes me feel like that). I'm scared. Does it sound like the prozac is working? Should I try a new medication? Like i said, I am doing better than I was before I started taking it again, but I'm still paralyzed with fear, obsessing over food and my stomach, and unable to go anywhere but my home or my mom's. I'm so frustrated and I can't take it anymore! What can I do? therapy won't work right now. It didn't work before, and that's why I was put on the meds when I was 13.Now I am 18. This is supposed to be the prime-time of my life! But I am stuck inside this paralyzing anxiety and stuck in fear. Is there hope for me? Why is it taking longer this time? Please, please, God, anyone help me! I want to be able to eat again and go places again. I am crying out for support, and advice. Not for attention. I don't know where to turn. I turn to Y! because I can't leave the house to talk to anyone. Will these meds work? If you read this, thank you so much... I am struggling so much and I feel like I can't take it anymore. Thank you, thank you.
