severe fatigue with Celexa?

I have been on Wellbutrin for 3 months, and I don't think it is working well for me. I went to the DR today and was prescribed Celexa. I forgot to ask the doctor if I need to wait until the Wellbutrin is out of my system before starting the Celexa. If so, how long? Basically my question is do I have to wait a period of time before starting the Celexa, or can I start taking it tomorrow? Thank you

Switching from Wellbutrin to Celexa?

I was diagnosed with major depression at age 26 due to intense and stressful life situations. I took prozac (10 - 60 mg) for about 4 months but I stopped it cold turkey because of the horrible insomnia, flipped my sleeping schedule so that I was sleeping during the day time and waking up at 10 pm. and generally made my head feel strange. I did stop crying and my lows weren't so low anymore but my quality of life sucked. I quit for two months and thought that I was cured since I had figured out every possible underlying cause of my depression and developed a more positive world view. My depression and anxiety returned 2 months after quting prozac so I was put on 10-15 mg. of Celexa and 100mg of Wellbutrin for 1 month, which made me extremely tired. I then took 20 mg. of Celexa and 5 mg. of ritalin for 5 months. I felt ok emotionally and my cognitive reasoning returned but I was extremely exhausted all the time and no amount of coffee could help keep me awake. I took 100 mg of provigil to help keep me awake but the medicine combo made me feel extremely sedated and I didn't care about anything and generally had a low mood. I switched to Zoloft 50mg. and Wellbutrin 150 mg. two weeks ago and feel emotionally numb and my emotional response to everything is a 5 on a scale of 1-10. I am trying to complete papers for school but lack any kind of motivation and find it impossible to write when I feel emotionally numb about issues I used to care about deeply. Although they have helped, I can't stand ADs anymore and I feel like I can do without them since I have been on them for a little over 6 months and desperately want to wean myself off over the next two weeks but am afraid my depression might come back. I know my doc would say stay on antidepressants but is it ok to taper off altogether? I really need serious advice! Thanks! Thanks for all of the responses thus far:). To clarify things, I am currently on Zoloft 50 mg and Wellbutrin 150 mg. and have been for about 2 weeks. I am so sick of switching meds because most of the time I am completely exhausted during the first few weeks of a new med. I feel stuck and unable to move forward with my life in terms of getting a job and completing my law degree (if its even possible since my depression brought my GPA down drastically). I'm an intelligent person but depression and antidepressants have ruined my ability to think and write as well as I used to before I was depressed. I am constantly forgetiing things, can't write as fluidly or scrutinize issues like I did before my depression, and feel like there isn't a passionate bone in my body on ADs. My academic career is already ruined b/c of it and want to move forward with my life but my quality of life on the trial and error process of finding a better AD is so poor. Thanks for all of the responses thus far. Can I quit taking antidepressants?

Im currently on Wellbutrin 150mg and Effexer 150mg and Trazodone 100mg and my insurance just expired. Im going with a cheaper version called Celexa to take the place of the Wellbutrin, will I have withdrawls?

Im switching my Wellbutrin with Celexa, will I have withdrawls?

I was taking Wellbutrin and it just made everything worse, it made me have horrible panic attacks, made me even more depressed, I couldn't fall asleep at night until like 6 am and when I did Ihad nightmares, it was just awful. I saw my doctor today and she switched me over to a drug called Celexa and she says that she's always had really good results with this drug. I was just wondering if anyone else had taken it and what your experiences were? I'm really hoping that this one will be the one that helps me. Thanks!

Anyone ever taken Celexa for anxiety/depression?

I have a BPD and it really affects my life. One day I can be so up and high and the next to angry and hostile and depressed and aggressive, and switch back and forth.Anyway, it really does affect my life. My job, my relationship with my husband, our sexual relationship, other outside relationships, my self esteem etc.I haven't really recieved any phyciatric help. But I don't like drugs. I was on Celexa and wellbutrin for awhile and it killed my sex drive and made me completely emotionally numb and empty (more than before anyway)I want to be able to function and feel more normally without drugs.Any one out there done that? Anyone have any advice they can help me with?I would so appreciate that.

Can you have a BorderLine Personality Disorder and still function normally without medication?

I'm in the process of switching from Celexa to Wellbutrin and it's been a week today. I'm starting to get really irritable. Is that normal? Does that go away once your body gets used to it? Please help?

Can you get really irritable switching from one antidepressant to another?

My doctor switched me from Celexa to Wellbutrin. It was a week ago I started taking half of the Celexa and one Wellbutrin a day. I felt okay the first couple days, but is it normal to start feeling very emotional and irritable while I'm switching? Will this go away in time after I'm totally off the Celexa and on the Wellbutrin?

Question about switching antidepressant medication?

My doctor just prescribed me Wellbutrin. I have been on Celexa for a while now and she wants me to gradually switch to Wellbutrin. What side effects can I expect from that? Will I feel weird while I'm switching over? Does Wellbutrin give you more energy?

Question about Wellbutrin?

I'm a 24 yr old married student (poor). I was Diagnosed@ age 9, and started some holistic stuff (nausea). Zoloft and Klonipin @15 (5'5'' 130 lbs) caused 20 lbs gain in 4 mo. Effexor @16, mildly effective @ max dose for 4 years but still gaining weight (180 lb) able to lose weight only thru unhealthy diet, gained it all when I returned to normal active lifestyle/healthy eating. Switched to Celexa when Effex was causing headache/fainting.Lost libido, and gained weight (190 lbs). Cymbalta at 22, same as Celex. Wellbutrin at 23, lost 45 lbs, sex drive normal, less depression but anxiety worsened. Effexor XR at 24, total anorgasmia and gained 20 lbs in 3 mo., symptoms stayed. Tried methyldopa w/ no results 6 wks. Currently, I take only the klonipin to sleep or stop panic attacks. 6 months of therapy was a waste of $. I need a large list of drugs w/ side effects- or personal suggestions. expensive drugs/therapies are not an option right now, and this isn't an issue of lifestyle or dietMy lifestyle isn't the problem. I'm active and eat healthy. I have great relationships with my family and friends. I can't imagine what I could change

which antidepressant is right for me? Depression/Anxiety/Libido?

I have been taking Lexapro for the past couple months now haven't really seen that much of a difference but now I'm switching to celexa beacause of the price difference, my doctor also wants to put me on wellbutrin...could someone that has takin wellbutrin tell me if it's any good.
