Years of fatigue, excessive hunger, and anxiety anyone else with this problem?

I have severe, medication resistant depression. I have tried tricyclics, ssri's, maoi's, atypicals and even ECT. My doctor prescribed Concerta yesterday. I am supposed to take 27mg in combination with 200mg of zoloft and 150 of wellbutrin xl. I do not have add or adhd, and he is prescribing it to help the depression. Has anyone ever heard of using concerta, ritalin, or other CNS drugs for depression? Anyone have experience taking this drug for depression without add/adhd? DId it help?



Concerta for Depression?

I don't enjoy doing much of anything anymore besides hang out with people 24/7. While I am alone I can't seem to enjoy things I use to be love to do by myself. I get bored incredibly easily because of this, then lonely, then a million questions quickly flood my mind and I feel like a tall bag of shit that has been beat with a stick. I can't ever seem to snap out of it until randomly, almost as if something just clicked, I feel normal if not better then usual. It happens randomly and the depression is worse when it begins and doesn't seem to last more then through the night. I am starting to feel extremely burdened by this and the fact that I am almost never hungry and must make myself eat just to eat. I have taken wellbutrin xl and sr, zoloft, and prozac. All to no effect besides making me feel more unbalanced, tired, more energetic, more depressed cycles. And with every antidepressant I still had those days where id be alone then get extremely depressed. Please anyone helpI was prescribed the medication by a doctor who has sent me a list of psychiatrists to go talk to. The thing is I can go for like a week without ever feeling really bad. I don't really want to take medication to fix my problems. I was thinking about going to the gym monday through friday and exercising. If anyone has any suggestions on some natural, habit changing things I can do i'd appreciate it.



What can be wrong with me? -Depression?

I was diagnosed with panic disorder when I was 15 (runs in my family). I've been on Xanax, Celexa, Zoloft, Ativan, Wellbutrin, and Klonopin. I don't like to be on medication, but lately I have been having major mood swings, going from being happy and content to being depressed and panicky. So, about 10 days ago my doctor started me on Wellbutrin XL 300 mg once a day and Klonopin 0.5 mg three times a day. I know the Wellbutrin will take several weeks to work. But, I was hoping the Klonopin would calm my nerves some and it doesn't seem to be doing so. Does it take awhile for the full effects to register in? I've not been on any benzodiazepines in a couple of years, so I don't think have a tolerance for it or anything. Just wondering what if anyone had any experiences or advice. I just kind of feel a little sleepy, but still panicky.I was just wondering if it didn't really have an effect on some people. I have a follow-up appointment on the 29th and he wants me to take my medication until then and we will reevaluate their effectiveness... probably going to have to try something else, but I just feel like I should feel more of a difference.



I'm taking Klonopin, but I don't feel like it's working?

I been taking Zoloft (100mg; ONCE a Day) for anxiety/depression. My doctor wants me to supplement the Zoloft with 150mg of Wellbutrin. Their is WB SR and XL. I heard one is VERY expensive and the other is "not as much". Is there a difference and how's WB reacted for you?



Wellbutrin - ALL TYPES -- Which ones are the best and Cheapest?

Here is the story. I have ADD and depession. My dr started me on lamictal but that made me so depresed and sudcial and i had to get off it. I was on zoloft and adderall it was okay no big changes but atleast i didn't want to kill myself. My dr didn't think zolof was rigth for me so he put me on welbutrn xl 150 mg. At first it was fine. Felling better in the morning, then at night I felt depressed and hopless. Next day i when i took it at work , i felt fine, at times a little irratable but then by the time i got home i was sad again. I thought that the med was wearing off , so i took anther to feel better but i didn't.The problem now is when i take the med i can either get very moody or depressed or it something goes wrong i start to cry easily. I just want to get better , should stick wit the pill and hope the side effects will go away or is this normal behavior with this drug? Should i ask the dr for a higher doseage or git off the pill? What are some of your experiences?



Does wellbutrin xl give you highs and lows? I'm driving my boyfriend crazy!?

So, I was on zoloft for about 2 years. I took 2 doses of zoloft 25mg each day. It didn't help me because my mood would be swinging around by the minute. One minute I'd be in a great mood, and the next down in the dumps.I went to my doctor and he told me to stop the zoloft, and just replace it with Wellbutrin XL (150mg). On top of this, I take risperidone (0.25mg) once in the morning and once at night.Well I changed from the Zoloft to the Wellbutrin last tuesday, and since i've felt like garbage every day. I snap easily, and small things seem to piss me off.. My mood has been way down in the dumps completly, instead of being constantly up and down. Why is this happening? What should I do?ThanksI have always been on the risperidone as well with the Zoloft.



Switched my medicine..?

99% of us aren't doctors. I am not looking for a professional opinion. Just a consumer poll. I had frequent thoughts of death. Not suicide, but just death in general. Thoughts like "I have 6 brothers & sisters. 1 of us will see all the others dead". I also slept too much, didn't want to spend much time with friends & family. I lost interest in work & play. And when I was feeling down, I tended to gamble & take pain killers. The gambling and pain killers were the only thing that took all my problems away. (so it seemed).The Dr put me on Wellbutrin XL. It took care of the lonely & scary death thoughts, gambling & pain killer urge. It seems as if the Wellbutrin XL worked well on the psychological side of my depression. I still have issues with taking work and play serious. I still sleep too much. Wellbutrin took care of my mental side of my problems. Do you have a suggestion for the physical side of depression? Maybe Zoloft, Paxail, or Lexapro? Thanks



Question about antidepessants!?

Ive found myself quite depressed for a couple of months now, I had battled depression for many years after about 10 years of just dealing with it I started taking Zoloft, It gave me severe dry mouth and a very low sex drive but it worked on my depression after being on it for 2 years it lost its effectivness so I weened off it and was better, that was in '04 now here I am back to where I started. I was thinking of starting Wellbutrin XL and want to know what your experiences are while on it... I know medically what its supposed to do but how has it effected YOU. Weighloss, sex drive, depression, anxiety, OCD was it better worst?



Wellbutrin?? What was you experience?

I understand that only my medical doctor can decide the right antidepressant for me, but everytime I visit my primary care provider, they just want to rush me out of the office. Im not tested, yet I relate my depression and awful feeling to her and from that she suggests therapy and medicine. Im 20 year old female whose suffering from life-altering depression. I left school on a medical leave because of it, and usually sport and active obsessed, all I do is lay and sleep. Sometimes, I cant even get out of bed to work.I was on 10mg of Paxil for two months, which seemed to do nothing at all. I was then put on 150mg of Wellbutrin XL and have been a month and a half with NO difference.I know everyone is different, and even when I see my doctor, to no prevail am I helped. Is Prozac, Zoloft, Cympalta, Effexor..any worth bringing up? I just want to be normal and happy again.

I've recently started taking both Zoloft and Wellbutrin XL to treat anxiety and depression. After looking at the list of drugs that interact with Zoloft, I found listed Aspirin, Ibuprofin and Naproxen. So I figured I could then take Tylenol...but I found that it was on the list of drugs that interact with Wellbutrin XL. So my question is: What can I use to treat my headaches, which have been very unpleasant?
