Started Wellbutrin 100mg?Hi, I am taking Lexapro 5mg for OCD, and Depression, I've been on it now for about 4 weeks, and I feel so much better. I also have ADD, and was prescribed (Bupropion) Wellbutrin 100mg once a day, I was just wondering if anyone has taken this, and how long it took for it to work, my doctor also told me it would help me lose weight by decreasing my appetite, I've only been on it for two days. But my appetite is as it always is, and I don't feel any more energized or focused then I normally am. :/

Started Wellbutrin 100mg?

For years I have been on antidepressants but for the past year and a half or so I've noticed that rather than depression, it's been anxiety that has taken over my life. I worry about everything that I can possibly worry about (especially when it comes to social situations), I'm constantly feeling sweaty/clammy, I bite my lips nonstop, I never seem to stop thinking and I've had unbelievably horrible insomnia, leading to a currently 2 year long prescription to Ambien. Since I've started my freshman year at college, the anxiety has become absolutely unbearable. I had my first panic attack a few months ago and it was one of the scariest things that I've gone through, I honestly thought I was going to have a heart attack. I've become so horribly irritable, to the point that nobody can stand to be with me because I am always on-edge, talking to everybody with snappy remarks and just total irritability in my tone of voice. I've also had so many issues dealing with OCD habits and tics. When my anxiety levels are particularly high, my tics become really noticeable. The smallest things set me off into a breakdown, such as an exam or plans not going my way. The other night I literally ended up on the floor crying just because my hair ended up getting really messed up a few minutes before I had to go out. Sometimes the anxiety gets so bad that I just freeze up, my muscles seem to lock up and my mind just goes blank. I can't think or move or anything, I'm just paralyzed. I honestly can't stand it anymore and I know that the only reason I ever feel depressed is because the anxiety leaves me feeling so upset/angry/hopeless. I need to get off these antidepressants, I've tried everything from wellbutrin, lexapro, prozac and zoloft. Nothing helps. How do I make my doctor realize that my anxiety is to the point where I need medicated help, specifically designed for anxiety, and that a simple anti depressant is NOT going to cut it? I am fed up with living this way and I feel like if it keeps going on like this, I'm liable to have a heart attack by the time I'm 30.



Anxiety Medication Help?

My doctor started me on wellbutrin xl 150 for 2 weeks, and I guess it was fine. I experienced bad headaches and was a little anxious at first. But by the time the end of that 2 weeks were up, I felt like I was falling back into my bad habits. I am very ocd, and over eat, mindlessly, because of my depression. I went to the doctor today for my check up and she upped my dose to 300 xl, and I was just looking for some positive reinforcements that I am taking the right thing for my problems. I also need to note that I have gained a good 40 pounds in the past 7 months, I need the help and motivation to get out of the house, go to the gym and can only hope that this medication can help me. In need of positive reviews on wellbutrin xl 300 depression and weight loss?

I've been seeing psychologists for at least 12 years (I'm 27). I'm diagnosed as OCD and clinical depression. I've been through Zoloft, Wellbutrin, Lexapro, Lamictal, Cymbalta, Xanax and Valium. I currently take 30 mg of Lexapro, 450 mg of Wellbutrin and Xanax as needed. I guess I can say I'm better than I used to be. But my obsessive thoughts never seem to go away. What's strange is that they change over time. The ones that have stuck by me are vagina penetration and catheters (along with bladders, urethras, etc.) I can't even type those words without feeling lightheaded. It's all I think about, especially the catheters. I think about it all day at work, when I pee, when I'm watching tv, when I'm trying to sleep. It's like when someone is grossed out about something...to the millionth degree. I'm terrified of ever having to have one. Problem is...I want to get pregnant this year. Already ok'ed with my doctor that I HAVE to have a cesarean. (Obviously vaginal birth wouldn't work for me because of my fear/obsession with vaginas and inside the vagina.) BUT with a cesarean I would need a c word. (I can't even write it anymore). Can someone please help me? I can't keep living like this. It's ruining my life. No one has ever been able to help me.



How can I get rid of my obsessive thoughts?

I wanted to get some peoples experience on the two. I am taking 150mg wellbutrin SR two times a day, for OCD, and weight management. I am just curious if people noticed more of a curbed appetite with the SR or XL. I would like to hear some pros and cons of each. Also I would like some peoples experience on drinking beer, I know it says not to drink but I like to drink some beer on saturday night, have you drank while taking this, what did you experience.

I have suffered for many years from depression, I have been diganosed with OCD and Dysthymia. I have tried numerous antidepressants and nothing seems to completely relieve my depression and most had side effects, the most common side effects that I have experienced are not being able to sleep and one even made me have incredible feelings of rage. I have tried at least 10 different medications. The symptoms that are most bothersome are of course my checking and rechecking things and my overwhelming feelings of guilt. The feelings of guilt are over things that happened years ago, it's not like I cheat on my husband or steal or anything, my guilty feelings are over things that happened long ago and not over things that are sinful or illegal but I still just can't stop beating myself up over these things, I don't look forward to things that I used to enjoy, and feel sad almost all of the time, it's like nothing makes me happy at least not for long. The one other symptom that really bothers me is that I have little to no energy and I have 3 children that I want to be more active with and enjoy the short time that they will be with me at home. I have been on Prozac, Tramadol, Zoloft, Wellbutrin, Celexa, Amitriptyline, Paxil, and have also been prescribed anti-anxiety meds like Valium, Klonopin, Adivan, and Xanax. The only thing that has ever helped me to feel completely normal is Vicodin and or Percocet, but that is not a long time fix to my problem. I was just wondering if anyone out there has experienced the same thing and if so what medication helped you?

Depression issues, please help me!?

I'm currently taking 50 mg of Zoloft for my anxiety and I hate to admit it but it is working! However, I am very displeased with the sexual side effects. My psychiatrist suggested I take 150 mg of Wellbutrin XL because it usually counteracts those side effects. I have no history of seizures nor have i ever had an eating disorder and I've heard that those are usually the times when people have had seizures on wellbutrin (wellbutrin is known to have the side effect of seizures). Anyways, is this combo safe? I dont know im HUGELY paranoid (part of my OCD) and i hate hate taking medication and adding another one to the list makes me worried.



Is it okay to take Zoloft and Wellbutrin Xl together?

My girlfriend has OCD and is a germaphobe. She is currently on Prozac, which she believes took away her sex drive. And her sex drive hasn't just been reduced. It's non-existent. She also says sex hurts her, so as a result of these three things she always tries to avoid sex at all costs.Oral sex is a very rare occurrence since she is germaphobe. When it does happen she has to brush her teeth and use mouthwash before AND after. Sex happens only after lots of pestering, which is only successful maybe once every two months.I've been with this girl for a while and I love everything about her, except this. If she had a normal sex drive I would think about marriage in the future, but this is ruining our relationship. I want to stay with her so much, and I've been putting up with this for over a year, but I can't be with her if it means never having sex again, or even a healthy sexual relationship.She is going to try switching to Wellbutrin because she heard it doesn't have sexual side effects, but we aren't sure if that will be successful and are nervous about making the switch because it might not work the right way.What should we do? I want more than anything to be happy with her but I have to have sex. Any suggestions?P.S. I have talked with her about it MANY times and hasn't gotten anywhere. Also, I have supported her a lot through this, but I don't think in her case the Prozac is a temporary thing. She has been on it for a while and she tried not taking it last summer and it was not good.
