i can't have an orgasm at all?

.My mom died five years ago and I fell into a deep depression. I was prescribed Wellbutrin, and a couple of other meds since then but never really gave any a chance - i just don't like taking pills. In any case about 3 months ago i hit rock bottom - i had road rage, crying spells, didn't want to get out o bed, worked sucked, I could not sleep at night (for the past few years I only sleep about three or four hours a night), and a new doctor put me on 30mg of Cymbalta a day. I IMMEDIATELY felt better - i know it says you have to wait for a few weeks, but no, I felt better day one or two. I even started keeping a journal of my experience with it. I slept better, felt better, wasn't hungry, I even smiled. BUT, maybe three weeks later it started 'wearing off'. Two weeks later my doctor bumped me up to 120 mgs. I still feel better than I did before Cymbalta, but not as great as when I first took it - AND here is the worst part (well, maybe not worst :o), but bad). I CAN'T STOP EATING and have gained maybe 15 pounds. Plus, again, although I do feel better, I still can't get my sleep pattern right again and I have no energy to exercise. While I feel better, the weight gain is definitely not worth staying on it.So, my question is (since I've read that Cymbalta actually acts as an appetite suppressant) what is the best time of day to take it for that effect?

Best time of day to take Cymbalta?

I explained my situation much more thoroughly when I asked this question on a depression forum but since there's not all that much space here I'll just leave it to the absolute basics: I'm 21 and have been dealing with debilitating depression and anxiety for the last 8 years of my life. They've made it so that it is an extreme chore to do even the simplest tasks as well as made it next to impossible to leave the house due to how bad my social anxiety/panic attacks get. Over the last 8 years I've been on 14 different medications to treat these two issues, all of which have been either an anti-depressant or an anti-psychotic. Not a single one out of those 14 meds has done anything whatsoever to treat or reduce either issue; I get the bad side effects but nothing else.My doctor is now suggesting MAOIs (another anti-depressant) as a "last resort" medication since nothing else has worked, but considering how dangerous they are and how little other anti-depressants have helped, I feel like there's got to be a different or better way.If anyone has any experience with treating either depression or anxiety of their own or if anyone knows anything about pharmaceuticals or other treatments, I'd love to hear your input. These are the medications I have already been prescribed (and found unhelpful); some were taken simultaneously to augment each other.Anti-depressants: Zoloft, Paxil, Lexapro, Prozac, Elavil, Wellbutrin, Effexor, Cymbalta and LithiumAnti-psychotics: Risperdal, Zyprexa, Seroquel, Abilify and GeodonI feel I should also mention the non-prescription drug treatments I've tried as well over the years...these include herbal treatments, light therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, St. John's Wort, 5-HTP, exercising daily and supplements like omega-3, vitamin B and so on.Again, if anyone has any ideas or advice to offer, it would be much appreciated.

What other treatments are there for severe depression/anxiety other than anti-depressants and anti-psychotics?

My doctor just switched me from Wellbutrin (made me VERY agitated and mean) to Cymbalta. I'll start taking it tomorrow (30mg). What have your experiences been with it?

Anyone out there with experience with Cymbalta for anxiety?

I have tried many antidepressant medicines and none have really calmed my anxiety and sad thoughts.I will say that for short term relief, Alprazolam 2mg helps when I am extremely nervous. However, I know that I have become more tolerant since using this and I barely feel any different after using it as needed.I am looking for a medication that helps with relief of social anxiety, GAD, and depression. There are things from relationships to job stress to aging that has really got me very down and gloomy. I have been sad and nervous before but these feelings are overwhelming me. I am also at an age where I am trying to decide if I should have children with my wife and honestly feel right now that I do not want that stress and feel I will regret it down the road. And when the feelings of regret hit me, it will be too late as my wife's age will be too old to have children. One other note, I a have had chronic nerve pain along my trapezius (neck to shoulder area). This has been an annoying pain since 2002 and now it is 2010. The one medication that I found that helped with this was Nortriptyline. However, it made me feel even sadder and I felt it was not helping me with depression at all.If anyone has had a similar medication scenario maybe you could advise. Medication that I have triedLexapro (Maximum adult dose)Effexor (Maximum adult dose)Zoloft (Maximum adult dose)Cymbalta (Maximum adult dose)Wellbutrin (Maximum adult dose)Pristiq (Maximum adult dose)NortriptylineNeurontin (2400 mg)Alprazolam 2mg as needed

Is Paxil worth trying after several other antidepressants have not worked?

Wellbutrin SR 150mg, Cymbalta 30mg, 6 cups coffee/day.Notes: I'm one of those people who are sensitive to medications, so 150mg, 30mg for me would be like 300mg,60mg for most people. Also, caffeine barely affects me at all. I can drink it like water without fully waking up or raising my heart rate/blood pressure. 6 cups to me would be like 1 cup to most people. My main concern is with mixing the Wellbutrin and Cymbalta, as both affect norepinephrine. TIA.

How safe is this combo? Wellbutrin+Cymbalta+Caffeine?

I have high anxiety, and I have ADHD. I want to take Klonopin every day with my antidepressants (wellbutrin and cymbalta) and my adderall. Has anyone used a benzodiazepine and adderall? Also, I talked to my doctor and I asked him if I could be on a benzodiazepine and adderall at the same time. My doctor said that I couldn't take a benzodiazepine and an adderall at the same time. Does anyone know why doctors wont prescribe a benzodiazpeine with adderall?? Thank you!!!!

Why wont doctors prescribe a benzodiazepine (Xanax, Klonopin) with a stimulants like adderall?

I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety four years ago when I was 16. I was immediately placed on Lexapro and Klonopin. About nine months later I suffered my first attempt at suicide. I tried twice more to kill myself over the next couple of months after that.Following my suicide attempts, I was placed on numerous different medications (Zoloft, Paxil, Wellbutrin, Lithium, Depakote, Ativan, Buspar, Pristiq, Zyprexa, Geodon, Abilify, Cymbalta, Lamictal, etc.) and given diagnoses of Bipolar disorder and Borderline Personality Disorder.Within two years I had become an alcoholic in attempts to self-medicate.I feel as though I once had a bright future, but because of all of these medications, I now have nothing.Depression and anxiety consume me each day. I feel stuck. Hopeless. Like I've lost my mind. What do you do when you feel "beyond repair"?

What do you do when you don't want to live but you don't want to die?

i have taken prozac, wellbutrin, and cymbalta.with those 3 i have had extreme drousyness for like the first month every day on each of them. has anyone had that problem with zoloft? if so how long did it last for. also did it work for anxiety? i am starting zoloft at 25mg

wondering side effects of zoloft?

I've been seeing psychologists for at least 12 years (I'm 27). I'm diagnosed as OCD and clinical depression. I've been through Zoloft, Wellbutrin, Lexapro, Lamictal, Cymbalta, Xanax and Valium. I currently take 30 mg of Lexapro, 450 mg of Wellbutrin and Xanax as needed. I guess I can say I'm better than I used to be. But my obsessive thoughts never seem to go away. What's strange is that they change over time. The ones that have stuck by me are vagina penetration and catheters (along with bladders, urethras, etc.) I can't even type those words without feeling lightheaded. It's all I think about, especially the catheters. I think about it all day at work, when I pee, when I'm watching tv, when I'm trying to sleep. It's like when someone is grossed out about something...to the millionth degree. I'm terrified of ever having to have one. Problem is...I want to get pregnant this year. Already ok'ed with my doctor that I HAVE to have a cesarean. (Obviously vaginal birth wouldn't work for me because of my fear/obsession with vaginas and inside the vagina.) BUT with a cesarean I would need a c word. (I can't even write it anymore). Can someone please help me? I can't keep living like this. It's ruining my life. No one has ever been able to help me.

How can I get rid of my obsessive thoughts?

I'll try to make this short as possible but I think the information is relevant. Three months ago i had a health issue that obviously made me very anxious. I was put on 30 of cymbalta. Sometime in the middle of the treatment I found out that my health concern turned out to be nothing, so I stopped taking cymbalta after 23 days. I knew better than that, but my situational anxiety alleviated it's self so I thought I no longer neded the anti depression med. The next four days i went nutts. So I started taking it again. I started getting visual migraines which increased my anxiety so my dr. switched me to zoloft. On zoloft 50 mg then 100mg I felt awful like I was on chemo therapy or something. Dizziness blurred vision light headedness and crazy increase in anxiety and continued visual migraines. My dr wanted to try lexapro. I was growing rather frustrated with jumping from one to another cause all this started as a result of a situational depression that alleivated it's self. So I decided to taper off the zoloft for a month and see what would happen. No relief from the light headed feeling, blurred vision and headaches and visual migraines. None of these things I ever had before I started taking antidepressants. I'm now taking wellbutrin 150xl in the morning and have been taking it for about three weeks. Still get lightheaded and dizzy and have occasional blurred vision. I'm starting to think that I never needed these things from the start but now am afraid that I will never be able to get off of them. Does anyone have any suggestions or similar stories?
