I'm taking Bupropion which is generic for Wellbutrin. 150mg 2X daily. I'm having side effects like sweating, hives, dizziness, and massive headaches. I have stopped this medication cause i don't think i can take the side effects anymore. According to the pharmacist she says that the hives/rash are normal? For the first couple of days? I have taken Wellbutrin XL in the past and I have never had such a break out/side effects like this. I'm wondering if it could be the Generic form? That my body doesn't like? Any ideas?

I was on 150 mg of Wellbutrin XL (the generic form, actually) for about 25 days. The last pill I took was 34 hours ago. Before that, the last pill I took was 2 days before that.I am in the wine business, and I need to taste different types of wines on a regular basis. I was told to avoid alcohol when taking Wellbutrin, so I have. But now my doctor thinks I should switch to an SSRI, which I will begin next week. He told me to discontinue the Wellbutrin.My question is this: tonight I have to go to a wine-tasting event for work. Would it be safe for me to drink some wine? How long will it take for the Wellbutrin to be out of my system?

I started wellbutrin xl 150 a month ago, I received the generic budeprion xl by Teva. This is the generic that seemed to be causing the most problems from my research. I feel okay but am having severe eye fatigue and am very sensitive to light to the point that I was wearing sunglasses at work because of the lights and spending a long time at the computer. Has anyone had this as a side effect on brand or generic? Was there a difference in generics? I just switched to an Actavis generic to see if that is better as the price is high to try the brand.

i started taking budeprion XL.. wellbutrin generic, and after 3 days i stopped.i figued since i was only on it for 3 days it wouldnt harm me to stop so abruptly....it is now 12 days later and im getting sick and paranoid.was that a bad idea? could it still have messed up my system? just wonderingtaoh and i know i should ask a doctor, but if i did want to start taking it again, how long should i wait until after i stopped? thanks

I am NOT one to jump to conclusions about side effects. I have heard and accepted that Wellbutrin XL is not supposed to affect your sexual drive or pleasure.I have been taking the generic form, Bupropion HCL XL, for 4 weeks. I am absolutely certain that it is affecting me. I can no longer reach orgasm and never had a problem before (I am a woman). Also, the physical sensations of sex are almost completely devoid of pleasure, it borders on unpleasant!My question is for everyone who has taken both the generic version, and the brand name Wellbutrin XL, who has experienced sexual side effects. Generic Wellbutrin XL (Bupropion HCL XL) interfering with sexual pleasure?

I would like to quit taking Bupropion 300mg xl (time released) on my own, if I can. I have moved to a different state and am in the process of finding a new doctor, although it is not as easy as I thought it would be. I have been takiing this med for almost two yrs now. Can I just quit taking it, cold turkey and if so what are the side effects I will have to deal with? I was thinking about, instead of taking it every 24 hrs, maybe extend the hrs to every 36 for a month or so and then 48 for a month and so on.
