How long for side effects wear off (wellbutrin)?

I need to quit smoking due to health issues but this addiction to cigarettes is so powerful that I've been unable so far to successfully quit. I've used Chantax, patches and Wellbutrin in the past to no avail. There are SO many Hypnotists listed that I'm worried about being scammed. Please, help me if you know anything about quitting smoking and hypnotists. Thank You

Have you or anyone u know ever used a Hypnotist?

I've tried just about everything, but I think my problem is that I don't really want to quit because I love smoking. I can't really afford it though, so I need to find something that will make me just not want to smoke.

Have you had success quitting smoking with Wellbutrin?

I was told 3 weeks ago that if I didn't quit smoking that I would die soon. I am 30 been smoking since I was 15 and I was smoking a little over a pack a day. I got put on Wellbutrin and after taking that for a week I quit, and stayed quit for a whole week, now I have smoked 1 a day for 3 days. I know it isn't good because I am putting the nicotine back into my system, but is it terrible that I am smoking one? Am I still considered a smoker?? I guess I feel bad because I have let myself down.I forgot to add that I was in my early stages of COPD!

Am I an awful person?

I am actually taking it to try to stop smoking, but I also have a bit of depression and anxiety so I'm hoping that a happy side effect will be some allieviation of that.I know many people are anti-wellbutrin, and many people think it's a godsend. I'm not interested in those types of opinions really, since I've already read a lot of them. What I want to know is, since the effects are so unpredictable, do I need to take it on a weekend? What is the first thing I might notice after taking my first dose? And finally, has it helped any of you quit smoking, side effects aside?

What precautions should I take before starting Wellbutrin?

serious wellbutrin question?

So I began smoking at the end of December of last year and I smoked for about 4 months, about a pack or two every three days. I tried quiting a few times but I finally stopped cold turkey thanks to a nice drug called Wellbutrin that is supposed to curve cravings, it actually worked, and I've been smoke free for the last three months. While I was smoking I did have the occasional cigar. Now I'm curious say I was having a few drinks with a couple of friends and we started playing poker or something and some cigars got passed around. Now I wont lie, since I've quit I've smoked a joint or two, and have not felt the craving to start smoking again. So I'm wondering for anyone out there who's quit smoking before, and decided to smoke a cigar every now and then do you find your cravings come back?

Smoking Cigars, after you've quit?

I've been on Wellbutrin SR 100 mg once a day for about a week, and now I'm taking them twice a day starting today. My friend took Wellbutrin and said in about a week he had no desire to smoke. A couple days ago, my respiratory system felt terrible, so I decided to quit immediately. Well it's day 3 and I'm going crazy with withdrawals, eating like a monster even though I normally barely eat, and I can't concentrate on anything besides my need for a cigarette (for the past 3 hours). Is this all normal? Would it be alright if I just waited a few more days to quit again so more Wellbutrin is in my system?

Wellbutrin to quit smoking?

I've quit several times before in the past, but I've always started up again. I know to cut back on caffeine and drink lots of water, sugarless candies/gum. I'm on Wellbutrin for depression---and the side benefit from that is that even as a smoker I never got nicotine cravings since I started the med. I feel fine now; I'm not really experiencing a withdrawal. *knock on wood*
