Can I skip a day of Wellbutrin if I'm going to drink that night?

My doctor prescribed Wellbutrin sr for SAD. i've read many of the side effects but it didn't mention hunger. ever since i started to take it, i get so hungry. I don't overeat, but i hate being hungry all the time. is this a temporary side effect. I heard its supposed to suppress appetite, but its doing the opposite for me. Anyone else out there going through this, or have gone through this? its only my third day taking it and i only take it once a day at 150 mg. i really don't want to gain weight, im actually trying to lose a few lbs!that link talks about pregnancy, im not pregnant

are these side effects going to continue?

im taking the generic. bupropion sr, 300 mg (150 mg 2x a day). its been a bit over a month since ive started and i like how ive been losing all this weight and it really helps with the depression (not the anxiety, but thats manageable). I dont care about the fact that its giving me mild acne, and the fact that i think its making me have hair loss. what i do care about is not getting enough sleep. it takes at least 2 hours every night to fall asleep. i'll have enough energy during the day, because my mind is active. but my body is exhausted, and i feel it. if that makes sense. my doctor offered sleeping pills, but i told her no. i dont want to have to take a pill to treat the side effects of another pill, and then another to treat the side effects of that. you know what i mean? so i'll try to handle this on my own. i bought some herbal sleeping pills that used to help me for occasional sleeplessness when i wasnt on wellbutrin. its basically just a valerian and hops pill. but i heard hops and antidepressants are not a good mixture so i stopped. i heard melatonin is also not good when youre taking antidepressants. so what over the counter stuff can i take?so benadryl is safe to take daily? and i take wellbutrin 2x a day. one when i wake up and one at night. not sure taking one if i wake up at 10am, and then the other at noon is a good idea.

i need help sleeping with wellbutrin?

I'm being put on Citolopram and Bupropion SR (Generics for Celexa and Wellbutrin SR) and currently take them after a meal before I go to bed. My doctor said I could take the medication at any time, so long as it was the same time daily. Many sites I've visited suggest that they should be taken in the morning. My only concern is I don't always awake at the same time, and when I do get up early I have work. The Bupropion SR makes me really nauseas and I don't want that to effect my work, so it is ok to continue taking the medication at night?

When to take my medication?

Want to hear some honest opinions please. This regarding a personal friend of mine and I want to hear some personal experiences or your thoughts or opinions pls. Thanks!STORY - The girl has chronic pain and takes lots of narcotics a month, Norco and Dilaudid routinely, but has done this for 15+ years. She does not display any type of drug seeking behavior or being an addict, but is dependent on these drugs to function. She keeps her appt every month and takes her medicine as prescribed. She has depressive disorder that set in upon her diagnosis of chronic disease/pain which she is prescribed Wellbutrin SR for X3 yrs now. Now, she has always displayed symptoms of ADHD but recently she has been complaining of "feeling like she is driven by a motor and insomnia". Now I feel like she has had ADHD all of her life and is just now being diagnosed with it. She is 30 yrs old. First her MD started on Straterra, 2 weeks go by and no change. Then onto Concerta, (Ritalin ER type drug) this worked well during the day but she suffered from severe abdominal pain. Then she was changed to Daytrana, (pretty much Ritalin in a patch) but had no effects from this. At this point - her MD went to a medication called "Intuiv" which made her feel lousy but it looks like it is used for ADHD. Now she is started on a medicine called Symbyax. This is really strange for me to understand since it's not used for ADHD at all. She definitely has a diagnosis of adult ADHD medically documented so why isn't her doctor prescribing her the medications that is typically used for adult ADHD?? If the Concerta worked, why wouldn't her doctor prescribe her a short-acting Ritalin or Adderral or Vyvanse?? I guess I'm confused and really wanting to know if she is being penalized for her narcotic use and if you feel this is hindering the MD's decision to adequately treat her?? She is not allowed to go see another doctor for her ADHD because she is under a narcotic contract with her MD and seeing another doctor is prohibited - she has already asked....so is she stuck?? She likes her doctor and doesn't want to change so this isn't an option. She has random drug screens and has always been in compliance with her medication regimen. She has 3 children and works hard. So what's the deal?? Do you think her MD will eventually prescribe her something that is actually used for adult ADHD, which is also a stimulant or a controlled drug, or do you think he'll continue to prescribe all the anti-depressants until she decides to stop seeking treatment?? He must not be concerned with prescribing controlled drugs because he is the one who prescribes her narcotics every month.....Please no rude answers - my friend really needs help/advice and I'm running out of excuses for her doctor! Thanks in advance!Sorry so long, but no other choice! My friend comes to me after each appt. I am a nurse practioner and I know what I would do if I were her caregiver. But we both decided that it would be best to have her see someone else. To not support her when she is upset would be not being her best friend. I simply wanted other's personal experiences pls. Thx.

ADHD and different medicines...?

I had compartment syndrome (swelling) in my calves and feet and the nerves in these areas were damaged (trauma-induced peripheral neuropathy). As a result of this I cannot feel my feet and parts of my calves and I have severe neuropathic pain. I cannot walk because of the pain, as after doing so it is exacerbated substantially, and I am therefore bound to a wheelchair.I'm currently on 4800 mg/d gabapentin (Neurontin) and 150 mg/d bupropion (Wellbutrin SR) for the pain. Despite the medication it is still present, though it is far less pronounced than before. It was unbearable previously and I felt literally suicidal because of it. Nonetheless, despite the major reduction, I still cannot walk as the pain just becomes too severe. It leaves me in tears every time.I am told by doctors that the pain is due to a loss of myelin on the axon fibers of my nerves. I am also told that myelin completely comes back, unlike nerves which typically only partially heal, and for this reason my neuropathic pain will entirely go away eventually, though I will likely not regain feeling in my feet. However, it has already been 5 months since my injury and I cannot tell any difference in the pain. This may be and probably is obfuscated by my medication though. My questions are:1) How long does it usually take for this kind of neuropathic pain to go away? Can it last for longer than a year? Two years??2) Does this kind of neuropathic pain always completely go away with time or is it possible for it to stay indefinitely?3) Any recommendations for augmentation of my current medication regimen?4) Are there any prescription or over-the-counter drugs or supplements that have been demonstrated in scientific research to enhance remyelination and/or nerve regrowth?

Please help me with my neuropathic pain!?

is it really effective? is it good to help with depression?thank you

what does wellbutrin SR help or used for?

I have anxiety... Rather bad anxiety... Now I need to go through ALL my records and find a whole bunch of tax documents but just sitting down in the office and pulling a handful of papers out of the file got my heart thumping and I got dizzy... I put TWO documents in the 2010 folder when I had to leave the room. I have a big cup of iced Chamomile, Sleepy-Time, and Black Tea to try and mellow me out... I took my Wellbutrin SR as directed, not missing any days... I have a couple of Alprazolam 0.50mg tablets (Xanax) and I am thinking of taking half of one but I only have a few left and need to limit their use... I've been talking them, half at a time, when I am awakened at either 3:30am or 5:30am with an anxiety attack... And I've been having those a lot lately with all this stress. My inability to do this work is going to greatly impact my life and my business... I am so stressed... When I do paperwork, I keep funny PodCasts on as "Background Noise" because I can't listen to music anymore while I work because I can no longer lose my intrusive thoughts by singing... I have to have WORDS to focus on, I need to pay attention to the CONVERSATION or else my mind starts to come up with, well, as I said, Intrusive Thoughts that lead to a panic attack. How can I cope with this horrible anxiety without having to up my Alprazolam (Xanax) usage? I'm worried about addiction to the Xanax and tolerance to it... I have gone through about twentyfive 0.5mg Xanax Tablets since I got the prescription in February 2010... My "Average" usage is 30 pills in 6 months. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.Well, I took whole Xanax and felt it kick in. I thought I was OK, then all the sudden it felt like ice water down my spine and my face turned red when I actually read a document and didn't just look at the date and file it... So I took a half of another one, leaving me with three and a half left. That last half a pill seemed to do the trick.I haven't had to take this much in a VERY long time, but I figure, I need to make an appointment with my doctor anyways, I might as well get a refill... 60 pills a year isn't much and I would never take them unless it is an emergency... THANK YOU for your answer. I needed that advice... When I start to feel "Itchy" I stop and go add some beads to a necklace I'm making and it calms me down.

How to cope with Situational Stress? I need to go through Tax Documents, just looking makes me freak!!!?

If so, how did it work for you? What side effects did you have? Thanks in advance!

Has anyone used Wellbutrin SR?

I was suppose to be taking only 400 mg as my doc told me, 200 in the morning and 200 in the after noon, but I forgot what he said and I didn't look on the bottle , so I took 400 in the morning and 400 in the afternoon which = 800mg, and it's been like 12 days now, I ran out of medication, and my next appointment with the dc is on the 9th, should I wait till then, or go get my regular prescription as soon as possible, and was it dangerous taking 800mg a day?? I take wellbutrin sr generic, and I don't think it's helping me alot anymore, so I was thinking about discontinuing the med.
