Clinical depression over nothing at all?

I used to be on Zoloft for major depression and anxiety. I didn't think it helped very much so a couple days ago my doctor prescribed wellbutrin xl and I am taking that while weaning off of zoloft.Once I went home with the pills I decided to try to google some information. I did not find anything that said wellbutrin helped with anxiety. Does anyone know if it does? Has anyone used it? What were your results? And what's the expected length of time for it to work?

Can anyone give me information about Wellbutrin xl?

I take 150 mg of Zoloft, and 300 mg of Wellbutrin once a day. Unfortunately, I am inconsistent with it, and sometimes forget to do it at the target time. Lately I've been taking it around midnight/1 AM, right before I go to sleep. But I was REALLY tired last night, and I have no idea if I took them or not. I remember telling myself I would, but I have ZERO recollection of actually doing it. So I'm not sure.If I were to take it now, at 2:20 PM, would that be safe to do? I need to start taking it early again anyways, because taking it at night has insomniac effects on me (waking up WAY too early). So if I DID take it last night, that was about 13 hours ago. Not sure. I'm a 17 year old male, weighing about 160 lbs, if that makes any difference.

Is it safe to take my meds again?

please help me. I am a college student. I feel sleepy all day for several years. My brain is always not clear, difficult to think and concentrate. I feel that my brain is empty and my eyes tend to close. I also suffer from insomnia sometimes. But even with good sleep at night, all these symptoms still persist. This greatly affects my study and also these symptoms are very suffering. All these symptoms started several years ago several months after I entered college. I can't sleep well because the dorm was very noisy and everyone stayed up very late at night playing computer games. I was studying very hard and had to get enough sleep to concentrate on study. At that time, I was always worrying when my roommates would go to sleep at night so that I can fall asleep without interruption. Initially, I felt sleepy during the day like everyone else. But several months later, I started to feel very suffering, difficult to think and concentrate. Now, my bedroom is very quiet and I think that my night sleep is good. But I am still suffering from these symptom. I took Zoloft for about two years and also Wellbutrin and other medicines (I don't think I have depression and anxiety). But these medicines don't help. Doctors can't find any problems from sleep test and sleep latency test. I gradually stopped Zoloft and Wellbutrin 5 months ago but all the symptoms are still the same. My doctor can't find the cause for my daytime sleepiness and unclear brain but I am still suffering all day! What do you think the problem is? All advice is appreciated! Thank you in advance.

help i cant find the right combo for my manic depression and bipolar?

I am 23 years old and have been on psychotropic medication on and off for about 8 years. Throughout the years, psychiatrists have put me on Antidepressants: SSRIs (prozac, celexa, zoloft), SNRIs (effexor, cymbalta), Wellbutrin, Lamictal -mood stabilizer...Benzodiazapines for anxiety...AND birth control pills (combination type containing estrogen)Currently, I take a low dose of Strattera and Adderall for depression and problems with attention. In the last year, I have stopped taking birth control pills and found and overall improvement in mood and depressive symptoms. I am on the least amount of medication than I have been in many years, and am managing well. The problem is that I still struggle tremendously with mood issues during the luteal phase of my menstrual cycle. Who would be an appropriate health professional to talk to about the role that hormones are playing in my mood? My psychiatrist seems to cringe a little whenever I mention anything about my menstrual cycle and my gynecologist claims that she does not know enough about psychiatry to provide a reliable solution. ....Should I try and endocrinologist? reproductive endocrinologist?Psychotherapy in combination with medication has enabled me to make significant progress throughout the years. However, I still feel that there is some underlying organic or biochemical imbalance or something.

What health professional can I see about the role hormones play in my mood?

Can not figure these answers out for the life of me!?

i dont show much emotion, i think its my meds side effects (maybe lithium). i take lithium, zoloft, geodon, and wellbutrin. If you have schizoaffective like me how do you deal with thisi know how you feel i guess just try and find ways to cope

i have schizoaffective disorder. Do people with this disorder isolate from others and not show much emotion?

I've been on Wellbutrin for a little over 2 weeks now, and while it is officially the best anti-D I have been on yet (I was on Zoloft previously, and Celexa before that), it is really messing with my appetite. I knew this was a common side effect, but I thought it would just make me eat smaller portions....however, I find myself eating less and actually, having to force myself to eat. It's like my taste buds are on high alert, and not in a good way. No food ever sounds good, and I spend a lot of time waiting until the very last minute to eat because it sounds disgusting. Anyone else had this happen? I'm just curious to see if it's common, or what-not. Thanks!

Just curious about Wellbutrin and its appetite suppressing effect....?

Facts:1. Many soldiers will come home from Iraq as amputees.2. Fact: amputees require artificial limbs.3. Artificial limb makers will see demand increase, thus, those who have invested in these companies are set to make a great deal of profit. People who use artificial limbs have to have them replaced every few years, thus there is always a demand and always a profit to be made. 4. Many soldiers come back as burn victims. Burns can be treated with synthetic flesh, a new business. More burn victims means more demand for synthetic skin, thus increasing profits for investors in companies that make this product. 5. Many soldiers come home with psychiatric problems for which medication is required. More prescriptions for Prozac, Paxil, Zoloft, Wellbutrin, Lithium, Xanax, Valium, Thorazine, Lexapro means more sales for pharmaceutical companies, thus more profit for investors. 6. Hearing aids and the artificial eye: if soldiers lose their hearing, they will need cochlear implants. There is a lot of working being done on creating a bionic eye. Should more soldiers lose their hearing and their sight, there will be more demand for these products and more sales. Investments in artificial limbs, cochlear implants, bionic eyes, anti-psychotic medications and synthetic skin tissue can see increases in the next few years. So please stop telling me that the war is hurting our economy when several sectors are thriving as a result of it. I am not failing right now and am doing a heck of a lot better than when our country was not in Iraq, so please stop lying. If you invested in any of the leading pharmaceutical companies or technological companies, you would have seen your investments grow very quickly. Also, there is now a robotic exoskeleton coming on to the market that enables paraplegics to walk with the aid of canes and electronic leg braces. Many people will come back from the war paralyzed and this could help investors make a profit. If we can get more and more people coming home in wheelchairs this could reap a huge profit, the likes of which have never been seen before.

Why do libs lie and say that the Iraq war is bad for our economy when I have proof that it is helping us?

I have recently stopped taking my Zoloft. I was on 100mg and was told to cut my last four pills into halves. I have now been taking Wellbutrin (150mg.. start with 300mg of it tomorrow) for the past three days but am feeling bad withdrawal symptoms from the Zoloft. Has anybody ever dealt with this before? What should I do? Will my withdrawals last for as long time? Will the Wellbutrin make me feel any better?
