I am 23 years old and have been on psychotropic medication on and off for about 8 years. Throughout the years, psychiatrists have put me on Antidepressants: SSRIs (prozac, celexa, zoloft), SNRIs (effexor, cymbalta), Wellbutrin, Lamictal -mood stabilizer...Benzodiazapines for anxiety...AND birth control pills (combination type containing estrogen)Currently, I take a low dose of Strattera and Adderall for depression and problems with attention. In the last year, I have stopped taking birth control pills and found and overall improvement in mood and depressive symptoms. I am on the least amount of medication than I have been in many years, and am managing well. The problem is that I still struggle tremendously with mood issues during the luteal phase of my menstrual cycle. Who would be an appropriate health professional to talk to about the role that hormones are playing in my mood? My psychiatrist seems to cringe a little whenever I mention anything about my menstrual cycle and my gynecologist claims that she does not know enough about psychiatry to provide a reliable solution. ....Should I try and endocrinologist? reproductive endocrinologist?Psychotherapy in combination with medication has enabled me to make significant progress throughout the years. However, I still feel that there is some underlying organic or biochemical imbalance or something.

i dont show much emotion, i think its my meds side effects (maybe lithium). i take lithium, zoloft, geodon, and wellbutrin. If you have schizoaffective like me how do you deal with thisi know how you feel i guess just try and find ways to cope

I have recently stopped taking my Zoloft. I was on 100mg and was told to cut my last four pills into halves. I have now been taking Wellbutrin (150mg.. start with 300mg of it tomorrow) for the past three days but am feeling bad withdrawal symptoms from the Zoloft. Has anybody ever dealt with this before? What should I do? Will my withdrawals last for as long time? Will the Wellbutrin make me feel any better?



Switching from Zoloft to Wellbutrin- Withdrawal problems. Help!?

According to my therapist I am depressed and anxious. Over the last two years I was on five different medications and none of them worked (Celexa, Paxil, Zoloft, Wellbutrin, Lamictal). I didn't want to get out of bed at all on them because I felt so sick and hopeless, not to mention piercing headaches. So I went off of them over a year ago. My life has improved a little, I am starting to fix my problems with my life.My therapist is pushing drugs on me again because she believes what is wrong with me is chemical. According to a survey of my behaviors I took, I apparently got worse over the last few months. I think it is just my environment getting to me and I just need help managing stress.Maybe I already answered my question but what do you believe I should say to my therapist?Yes, I would agree. Wasted enough money on this therapist just to tell me I need medications to numb my life. Thanks for all the great suggestions.

I take all three pills at night. And I know it sounds dumb but I'm so craving some beer now. It's time for my pills and for bed. Will it hurt...just this once?



How dangerous is it to take my Zoloft, Wellbutrin and Metorpolol with a beer?

I always feel tired during the day. It doesn't matter how many hours of sleep I get. I've tried sleeping less and I've tried sleeping more. I've tried drinking coffee in the morning but it doesn't help. It usually takes me an hour or more to fall asleep at night after I lay down and I do wake up a lot in the night. I used to take seroquel to help with insomnia because I used to wake up screaming a lot but I stopped taking the seroquel because it makes me feel like im on really heavy pain killers during the day. If I don't wake up tired I usually get tired by afternoon. I don't really want to take pills because I just got myself off of seroquel, wellbutrin and zoloft and I don't want to have to ween myself off of more pills. Is there anything I can do to stop the tiredness? I just can't handle being so sleepy all of the time.



How do I get rid of sleepiness? Do I need to see a doctor?

I have been off Zoloft for a week now doc has me started on Wellbutrin today. because I made the mistake of taking Adderal instead off the low dose of Zoloft I was supposed to be using to come down with, I put the extra Adderal in my empty Zoloft bottle, went straight off Zoloft right into Adderall, I feel still like I'm dieing, will this ever end? So now I am only taking Wellbutrin, when should I start to feel well, and full of life again, because right now all I want to do is crawl under a rock and die.....

Hai.Um, my doctor has given me Zoloft, Wellbutrin, and Abilify for social anxiety. I tried Zoloft with wellbutrin for a while, but I didn't like Zolofts side effects. I just wanted to stick to one pill, so I nixed the abilify and just took wb. I have no problem with depression, but it's doing absolutely NOTHING for my anxiety (and I've been on it for at least 1 month). It's really important that I get this fixed soon, I'm going to be going to school and will have to socially interact. **For those of you who want to tell me that a positive thinking book and exercise will be the cure, I kindly ask you to f*ck off. I love to exercise, but it doesn't help in that department. I've tried all the natural remedies I know of.Tank you.P.S.: My spiritual side (which methinks is in my head) would greatly improve if I could get a good answer here. _ as far as it's severity, idk. Like, I scalded my hand once on hot water on the job..and continued to work and didn't tell anybody. It was only till later someone said "what, are you crazy? dang that's hot" or something to that effect. I know, stupid. But I became even more embarassed.(continued) because the guy thought I was crazy/idiot, and I was. So anyway, I've gone days without speaking to people around me, but WANTING to. I've got a lot of ideas and (I think) character that I'd like to share...but a concrete wall seems to stop me from letting me open up.

i take zoloft and wellbutrin XL and concerta..(take the concerta for ADD) and today i just bought some fish oil just because i heard it was healthy. but now i'm hearing that it can be VERY good for depression... have you guys ever tried it?? either by itself? or with another SSRI drug?
