I want to switch from Zoloft to Wellbutrin?

I have manic depression and I have been on everything from zoloft to prozac to wellbutrin to lexapro to even abilify but nothing has helped...I can manage on a day by day basis but my depression reaches really horrible conditions right before my period during pms...I have tried to up my dosage during these times and nothing and when i tried birth control I was depressed more often than normal. I'm really tired of going through this and I have a boyfriend right now and I need to go on on some type of birth control. So the question is..is there any other form of birth control (which would also alleviate my hormonal moods) that i can take other than the pill to help me out?

Mood Swings during pms but nothing helps?

Okay I am a teen who has recently been put on Wellbutrin, Buspar And Seroquel. Yesterday I had yet again a severe reaction to meds to the point where my brain was doing it's own thing. 3 months ago I took the very same reaction to Zoloft, both with all the symptoms of the syndrome and looking it up, all of the three drugs are known to contribute to it. Right now I am very scared because the syndrome is known to cause death 100/yr and I have soo many plans ahead: I really want to do something in psychology... can the doctors do a blood test to diagnose me for sure? And I read somewhere that anti-depressants cause brain damage is this really true? And lastly can I possibly become skitzophranic because my body is being put through such trauma (Medical reactions, trying different meds, changing dosages) the reason I'm asking is because sometimes if the brain is traumatized enough it goes into protection mode and creates the personalities....THANK U SOO MUCH I APPRECIATE UR HELP!

Could I have Seratonin Syndrome????

My wife has started on Wellbutrin because of the sexual side effects of SSRI's. However, she has been feeling terribly depressed and anxious lately and has started taking Zoloft (which she had from before). After starting on Zoloft 50mg, she has been feeling MUCH better. It's like night and day. I've since advised her (although I'm not a practitioner) to up her dose to 75mg for several days and then to 100mg. The dosage range is 50mg-200mg and I was wondering if anyone has had personal experience as to how much difference increasing the dose within this range has had for them. I'd appreciate it if you leave out the "Always check with your doctor first" or "Don't do anything without your doctor's advise" type of statements. Just be honest with what has worked for you. Thanks and have a great day!

Does anyone have success w/ a Wellbutrin and Zoloft combination for anxiety/depression?

Has anyone ever actually lost weight while on Prozac? If gained how much and how long were you on it and what dosage? Also did it help for anxiety? Did it mae you rageful or angry? How long did it take to start working? I once took Zoloft and put on a bunch of weight, don't want to repeat that. And wellbutrin made my heart race

Prozac questions...Weight gain/loss on Prozac???

I am on the lowest dosage of Lexapro and have been on it for about a year and a half if not longer. I have gained a substantial amount of weight (90lbs) and my doctor thinks part of the reason may be due to the Lexapro as well as some other meds I am taking. I have serious anger problems and can get really depressed, but I am just wondering if I should give them a break for awhile.I also don't have a sex drive. I've tried Wellbutrin XL and Zoloft before too. The Zoloft worked for a few years...but during the last 5 years or so, I've been on some kind of depression med and have had no sex drive. Should I have my doctor take me off?

Should I stop taking my anti-depressants?

Im not sure if other people have had as many side effects as I have while being on Zoloft but I am trying to take my dosage down & get off of it completely. I have gained 27lbs in a 2 week time period & that alone can make any woman depressed. I can't sleep so I am taking Lorazepam to help with that. I have all the sexual side effects as well. I have horrible night sweats and I will still wake up 10-20 times per night. I've had weird and bizarre thoughts that I cannot control. I am always tired and I have horrible dry eyes now. Which I had to get Restasis for that side effect as well. I am trying to get off this crap & it's only making me feel so much worse. I have been on Effexor, Wellbutrin, & Prozac before & I haven't had a whole lot of luck. The other ones caused me to have severe panic attacks & I ended up having my license suspended while in highschool because they were so bad. Has anyone gotten off this and everything went away & they were okay? I need to know what to expect!

What Should I Expect While Coming Off Zoloft?

i just stopped taking it within the last 2 weeks.. it gave me really bad headaches, no sex drive, and it made me really really dizzy.. too dizzy that it was hard to stand up and play outside with my toddler.. anyone else have these side effects?anyone know of a good ANXIETY medication out there without a TON of side effects.. and i cant have any that include weight gain, or decreased sex drive these are the ones i've already been on:lexapro, effexor, wellbutrin, wellbutrin SR, zoloft, paxil... and they all didnt work for me, and yes my doctor tried upping the dosage it still didnt do anything for me i think thats it, but its 6 am so i cant think.let me know.. my friend told me to try prozac because shes on that and she has no side effects.. anyone else have no problems with it?whats a naturopath??

has anyone on here ever been on celixa?

Whenever I ask someone, I get different answers, or answers that seem to be pulled out of someones ass. Does anyone have a solid response to the question? How likely is death? Also, if you have one beer while your on a relatively low dosage of an anti-depressant, is it bad?Does it depend on the anti depressant? Like does Zoloft have a different effect with alcohol then wellbutrin?

What exactly happens when you mix Anti Depressants with Alcohol?

I've been fighting depression and OCD for the entirety of my adolescence and I can't deal with it anymore.. I was put on various dosages of zoloft, wellbutrin, depekote, abilify, and klonipin among other drugs that I can't remember right now and I didn't care for them much but I was told there was a noticeable change in my behavior. I've been off everything for about a year now though and I think I am ready to start something, this time for me and not because I'm being forced into it. However, I also have some big eating issues so taking anything that will cause weight gain is basically a recipe for a complete nervous breakdown. Does anyone have any suggestions for effective antidepressant or antianxiety meds that won't make me fat?My eating and exercise habits aren't the issue here.. the problem is that some of these meds interfere with chemical processes that in turn impact your metabolism and make it impossible to lose or, worse, make you gain. I know firsthand because I gained 20lbs after going on depekote.

Antidepressant/anti-anxiety meds that WON'T make me gain weight?

I am taking 400mg of Wellbutrin and 50mg of Zoloft daily. I just changed from taking 200mg of Wellbutrin and 150mg of Zoloft daily. Since my doctor and I adjusted my dosage I have been getting nausea and headaches after I take my medication each day. I called my doctor's office to talk about it but they said I have to come in to talk about it, I'm sure they just want me to come in so they can charge my insurance for a visit. I don't want to take the time to go in if there is a simple answer to this question. Any ideas on what to do to avoid nausea on a daily basis?
