Dont know if I should keep taking Wellbutrin? Please Help!!!?

I just started taking Wellbutrin XL for post partum depression today. I am 28 years old and the last time I took an anti-depressant was when I was 16, so I do not remember if I ever felt side effects. I've been feeling fidgety all day, is it a side effect or just all in my mind? It's not bothering me, I was just wondering if you could feel side effects before the medicine starts working (Doctor said in 2 weeks I should start to notice a change in my mood, but said nothing about side effects)

Hello, really hoping someone can tell me some good news!I've been diagnosed with depression, OCD, anxiety/panic disorder and bipolar II. I'm 23 years old and have NO sex drive. I've been with my boyfriend for over 3 years now, and the first year was great (no libido problems). But I guess around the 1 year mark was when I first starting seeing symptoms of my mental illnesses, and my sex drive completely vanished. Needless to say, it's taking a toll on my relationship. I tried to just suck it up and have sex with my boyfriend to keep him satisfied, but it got to the point where it starting hurting and the thought of having sex made me want to run out the door.About a year ago, I started taking Prozac and Klonopin. I was on 80mg/day of Prozac until about 1.5 weeks ago. I have gotten down to 0.5mg of Klonopin before bed, from 2.0mg. I told my doctor about the low sex drive, and he switched me to Wellbutrin XR and Lamictal. I've been on this now for 8 days. I'm taking 300mg of Wellbutrin XL, and 50mg of Lamictal. I'm not expecting my sex drive to come back immediately. My doctor said that Prozac can take 4-6 weeks to completely get out of your system. But I've read reviews about Wellbutrin and people are raving about their increase in libido.Does anyone know how common this is? I am desperate to get my sex drive to what it was 2 years ago.I've also read that Lamictal can decrease sex drive... I hope they don't cancel each other out?!I'm still taking the 0.5mg of Klonopin at night, as well as birth control pills (Apri) in the morning.After reading all of this info, can anyone help me out with any related experiences?! I'm really starting to lose hope :( I've even started to look into ExtenZe for women, which I highly doubt works because nothing has been FDA approved to increase a woman's libido.Please help!Thank you :)



Wellbutrin, Lamictal and Sex Drive?

I have been on the generic wellbutrin xl 300mg for 15 days and i feel a little worse. I have read entirly too much on the internet and now I am scared to death i will never get better. I sit here feeling hopless and feeling less of a person. Work is difficult now and its starting to affect my beautiful homelife. Anybody else experince this and does it get worse before it gets better. I can endure if I know it will get better and I get back to my old happy self. (newly depressed)



Wellbutrin (generic xl) does it get worse before it gets better?

I have been on bupropion xl 300 for 10 days. I have GAD and a little mild depression. First off, how long does it take for this to kick in and I am back to my happy self? Right now I feel worse in the morning and by evening time, I feel fine.Next, whats the best time of day to take this med? I take it in the morning. I have heard the Wellbutrin XL is much more effective. Is this true? Right now I have little energy and can not focus or concentrate at all. Will this improve. This sucks. I just want my old self back. Oh, I also take Ambien to sleep and the Dr. gave me ativan for the anxiety only when i need it. Let me also say this past year, I lost my job due to it closing, out of work for 3 months and finally have another job that is WAY to stressful. I have a great wife and 3 beautiful kids . I don't want this effecting them. I WANT MY HAPPY SELF BACK!



Bupropion XL 300mg. When will this stuff kick in?

My doctor prescribed Seroquel for me to help with the Wellbutrin XL that I've been on for the past 18 months (it's not as effective as before). I take the Wellbutrin at 9 am and I was told to take the Seroquel at "bedtime" Should I take it immediately before going to sleep or earlier in the evening? I asked the pharmacist and he told me to do whatever I prefer! What will work the best so I can function in the morning?Thanks



When do I take Seroquel XR?

I've been on Wellbutrin XL for 18 months. Started out at 150mg which worked well for about 4 months and then Doctor upped me to 300mg which worked well for about a year. Doctor gave me the option of getting off of Wellbutrin and starting a new antidepressant (she's suggesting either Effexor XR or Pristiq) or adding something to the Wellbutrin. I went with option #2, first we tried Pamelor (nortriptiline) which didn't do a thing at all, and then we tried Trazodone which was disastrous!!!I'm wondering if anyone has been in the same situation and how they resolved it? Has anyone been successful adding something to their Wellbutrin for it to work better or did you change to a new drug altogether?My Doctor usually gives me a couple options to choose from since this is all trial and error. I want to get some research done before my next appointment so I can be somewhat prepared.Thanks



Has anyone had Wellbutrin XL stop working for them?

I take 2 different kinds of Wellbutrin, one is 300mg, HCI, one is 150 mg xl, (for depression) I take metapropol (blood pressure) I use singuliar, and a combivent inhaler (asthma) and Xanax (very little, I only go through about 20 every 2mo) I take Ambien to help me sleep, over the counter doesn't work. I called in refills to my pharmacy a few days ago, just to be told that my insurance (medicaid) is no longer going to cover ANY of them. I am laid off work, and my husband was hurt so we have NO income. How can they just refuse to no longer pay for my meds? I have a co-pay on some, and obviously I comply. I do know that it isn't healthy to just stop taking anti-depressants, most people even have to be weined off of them, and I am losing everything. What can I do? All my meds are very beneficial for me to live a healthy life, both mentally and physically. I am open for ideas and suggestions. Someone told me that there are forms that I can get, or that my Dr. can obtain from the Mfg. Companies of my meds, and based on my income, I may qualify to receive these at little or no cost. I am just at a complete awe about this, I am really worried about what I am going to do......



I am about to loose all of my meds, what can I do?

I have had lifelong difficulties concentrating and completing tasks. I am always daydreaming to the point where I visualize situations all the time and talk out loud the words I would be saying in those situations. I forget things all the time... my cell phone, keys, everything to the point where it annoys my friends. my house is a mess and I am so overwhelmed because I can't even keep to a schedule about doing everything it will take to clean it up. I always am twirling and twisting my hair to the point where I've ruined its curly structure and it's frizzy and wavy now. I have difficulty committing to anything from work to attending classes to appointments. my grades are terrible and I'm ending my junior year in college, even though I'm really intelligent, I write extremely well and I got a 2100 on my SATs. and it's very evident from conversation that I'm intellectually apt, everyone's been telling me I'm smart and well above the average since childhood. I've been on the anti-depressant Wellbutrin XL 150 mg, since I have had 5 years of chronic depression. It's helping in terms of energy levels and being alert, and has increased my attention span... but not with all the other things.My psychiatrist has referred me to get tested for ADD and I am next week, I just don't know what to expect. even if I do get diagnosed with it and I get prescribed, I am worried about possible interactions with the Wellbutrin.any insight would be much appreciated.

I am a widow mother of three and work third shift. I am currently in school and battling deep depression. I am taking Wellbutrin XL 300mg for the depression. My weight gain has caused a major problem in my life because it causes me to be isoleted from family and friends. With me crazy life I dont have time to hang out at the gym. What is a good weight loss regimen that I could use to get rid of the excess pounds?

I have been taking wellbutrin xl 150mg for about 7 weeks now and it really wasn't working so I went back to my doctor today and she gave me 5 weeks worth of sample 300mg bottles to try out. I am just wondering if I do find that these work better, once I am finished the samples is it ok to take 2 150mg pills at once since its pretty much the same thing? Just cause I have like 70 150mg pills left....
